DAL Program

Tuesday, 27 June – this trip is available for all DAL ticket holders, and lunch and ferry crossing are included in your ticket price.

Please wear shoes suitable for walking on uneven ground. The historical fortress area has rough stone pavement. Please remember to observe the weather and, if needed, take a hat and water bottle with you.

  • 10.50 At Paasitorni Congress roll call of participants’ names.
  • 11.00 Departure from Paasitorni Congress towards Kauppatori. Walk guided by lt. Mikko Vasamies. Introduction to the history of Helsinki and architecture.
  • 12.00 Lunch – included in your DAL-ticket.
  • ⁠13.20 Ferry to Suomenlinna 
  • 13.35 Walking tour in the Suomenlinna historical fortress by a local guide.
  • 15.20 Ferry to Kauppatori.
  • 15.35 Shopping Opportunity in downtown Helsinki: Kauppatori – the market square, Esplanadi Street, and Kämp Galleria are next to the ferry port.

Wednesday, 29 June – this trip is available for DAL participants who purchased the DAL package with the Closing Dinner. Buss transportation, museum tickets and lunch are included in the ticket price.

  • 09.50 At Paasitorni Congress roll call of participants’ names.
  • 10.00 Buss leaves from Paasitorni to Porvoo.
  • 11.00 Guided tour in the iconic Porvoo old town and a visit to Finland’s national poet Runeberg’s home museum.
  • 13.00 Lunch – included in your DAL-ticket.
  • 14.15 Free time in Porvoo.
  • 15.15 Visit to Brunberg sweets factory. 
    16.00 Return to Helsinki. The bus will go to Paasitorni Congress.
